Regardless of its depth and reliability of information, people want to communicate in some way or other and be the centre of others' attention. As society is getting heartless and insulated, social network is gonna be more widely diffused or at least can survive in such a tough world. If people got to know any crucial limitation and harmfulness of social network, facebook also might wear off. However, to date, a certain bad effect of social network has yet been reported, and I think probably all kinds of social network will spread for a long while. A slightly different talk, facebook can be used in a useful way, as you know. For instance,facebook can be a sound place for debate(in many universities, they are making good use of this) and is very useful to talk to someone who is in abroad. So, I think the fate of facebook is always in the hands of the holder. ^^;
